A Celebration of Luxury: National Lobster Day at Capital Prime
Image item
Mark your calendars — Wednesday, September 25th is National Lobster Day, and Capital Prime is ready to celebrate this culinary icon in true gourmet style.

Lobster has long been considered one of the finest delicacies in the sea, but its journey to fine dining status is nothing short of fascinating. In fact, in colonial America, lobster was so abundant it was once known as the “poor man’s protein,” served mainly to prisoners and laborers. Fast forward to today, lobster has transformed into a symbol of elegance, flavor, and celebration — and there’s no better place to enjoy it than Capital Prime.

Did You Know?

  • The average lobster lives 5 to 7 years, but some can live over 50 years!
  • Lobsters were once so plentiful in the northeastern U.S. that they would wash up in piles after storms.
  • A lobster’s brain is located in its throat, its nervous system is in its abdomen, and it tastes with its legs!
  • The largest lobster ever recorded weighed over 44 pounds and was caught off the coast of Nova Scotia.
Despite their reddish hue on the plate, live lobsters are naturally blue, green, or even spotted.
At Capital Prime, we take pride in sourcing the freshest seafood, bringing you the unmatched taste of expertly prepared lobster in an upscale, welcoming environment. Whether you’re a lifelong lobster lover or looking to try it for the first time, National Lobster Day is the perfect excuse to treat yourself.

Even if you miss National Lobster Day, come in anytime and enjoy lobster on our menu, curated wine pairings, and a warm dining atmosphere as we are always ready to honor one of the sea’s most beloved treasures.

Make your reservation for National Lobster Day today, and come celebrate in style!

Bon appetit,

September marks California Wine Month, a time to raise a glass to the vineyards, winemakers and world-class wines that make California a global leader in viticulture. With over 4,000 wineries across the state, California produces more than 80% of all U.S. wine—an impressive testament to its diversity of terroirs and innovation in winemaking.

This month, we're spotlighting a curated selection of exceptional California wines that capture the spirit and richness of this iconic wine region. Whether you're a seasoned collector or discovering your palate, there's a bottle here to savor.

Featured Wines for California Wine Month

Honig Sauvignon Blanc (Napa Valley)
Bright, crisp and sustainably made, this refreshing Sauvignon Blanc delivers vibrant notes of grapefruit, lemon zest and tropical fruit. A perfect pairing for seafood, salads, or a sunny afternoon on the patio.

St. Supéry Merlot (Napa Valley)
Elegant and balanced, this Merlot offers lush plum and black cherry with subtle spice and silky tannins. St. Supéry’s commitment to estate-grown, sustainable practices adds integrity to every sip.

A bold and contemporary take on Chardonnay, Unshackled features ripe pear, citrus and vanilla with a creamy mouthfeel. It's a modern wine that still respects tradition.

Tre Son Zinfandel (Paso Robles)
Rich and spicy, this Zin is full of jammy blackberry, pepper and toasted oak. A powerful, food-friendly wine that reflects the bold personality of Paso Robles.

With a literal Mercury dime on the label, this iconic wine is bold and complex, offering intense black fruit, graphite, and oak. A cult favorite from one of California’s most creative producers.

Jayson Red Blend by Pahlmeyer (Napa Valley)
Crafted with finesse, this Bordeaux-style blend offers red currant, mocha, and refined tannins. Jayson is both accessible and cellar-worthy, representing the best of Napa blending.

Lincoln has been a saute’ cook with the Capital Prime family for almost one year. Lincoln says, “the best thing about working here are the co-workers and the community here. All of the co-workers here are so cool, so kind and so fun to be around. It really helps me feel like we are a family!”
Lincoln’s speed on the line and positive mindset is what Lincoln brings to the kitchen. “I’m always moving, grabbing ingredients or cooking something, even when we get busy, I always keep a good mindset.”

Lincoln loves to garden and has been growing his own vegetables for the last year. “I’m also an avid camper and outdoorsman!!! And if that’s not busy enough, I am also a self-taught music producer and DJ."

“Art and creativity are my passions, I love to make things whether it is music, food or even clothing, creating new things and self-expression is something that is very important to me.”
When asked what he is most proud of he says, “not being afraid to put myself out there. I have released a few of my own albums, been a part of art exhibits and have sold clothing at various markets. The most rewarding thing is when you can push through fear to accomplish something new and are then rewarded.”

We all need someone special in our lives and Lincoln has “Alice.” “She is my adorable kitty, who is over a year old. She is all white with little brown spots.” We bet Alice finds Lincoln as special as we do too, here at Capital Prime.

Thank you Lincoln, for being a wonderful part of the Capital Prime family.
