Greetings Barre Bae,

I hope this email finds you well rested and ready for the week ahead. I love to use Sundays as my reset day. My husband and I go on a long walk in the morning or sometimes swap it out for a sauna session or a pedicure, our whole family does laundry, I sit down with my planner to schedule my workouts and write down any have-to's for the week, and try my best to have it all done by late afternoon so the four of us can have a low key evening together before we embark upon another busy week of work and school.

This week we're taking advantage of a special two for one offer for the retreat for shared rooms (and $200 off singles!), registering for the upcoming “Second Sundays” in person community class, and mapping our weekly movement routine out early so we can show up for ourselves the way we want to.

planning ahead

As you look over this upcoming week's schedule below, I encourage you to map out your movement plans ahead of time.

As I mentioned in my welcome message, I use Sundays to plan my whole week, workouts included. Like most folx, my schedule looks different from week to week. If I don't put it in the calendar and create time, that space in my day will get taken up by something else.

Designate 30 minutes each week to walk through your calendar, not just for your movement schedule, but for everything. I feel a sense of deep ease once I'm clear on all my meetings, appointments, dinner dates, and movement sessions for the week.

Knowing what's ahead helps me find ways to balance what I need to get done with what I want to get done without feeling overwhelmed. It's also an opportunity to intentionally block out space to rest, recharge, and reconnect with yourself and loved ones. And prioritizing movement by carving out time early in the week helps ensure that you actually make it happen versus hoping you find the time. You are consciously making the time.
