Real (approachable) Style Advice for Real (grown-up) Women withĀ
Real (smart) Budgets
Ā
September 7, 2025
Dear First name / friend,
Ā
Well, we’re through the first week of September, and I’ve started to accept that summer really is waning—though not gone completely. Being the glass-half-full girl I try to be (thank you, Maryā¤ļø), I’ve decided to stop mourning the end of summer and instead embrace the things I love about fall: crisp, dry air, lighter traffic in town, football, and of course…fall clothes.
Ā
I’ve been moving my ultra-summery pieces out of my closet and bringing some early fall favorites out of storage—it feels like running into old friends.Ā
Ā
I’ve done some shopping too, but I’m trying to follow my own advice and resist the pull of impulse buys and extreme trend-chasing.Ā
Ā
Fall really is the hardest time of year to stay disciplined, which is why I’m here, ready to be your fairy godmother, helping you avoid the tempting noise out there.Ā
Ā
Read on for some fall style advice, including a 2017 flashback, a few makeup refresh finds, and a recipe (yes, from me!)

1. 2017 Called…

Ā
This week I wrote about a 2017 outfit I wore on repeat… and what it’s taught me about curating a fall wardrobe that feels fresh, relevant, and true to who you are now. (Here's the post.)
Ā
There’s no shame in what we wore years ago — it was fabulous at the time and we loved it.Ā
Ā
But just like we grow and evolve in life, our closets should reflect that too.
Ā
šŸ‘‰šŸ¼ The Fall Style System eliminates confusion and decision-fatigue — so getting dressed feels modern, confident, and easy (without starting from scratch).

2. Is Your Closet Fall-Ready? šŸ‚
Before you buy a single new piece this season, I’ve got a simple Pre-Fall Closet Scavenger Hunt for you. It’s just 5 items — denim, a jacket(s), everyday flats, sneakers, and neutral layers — but they’re the perfect starting point for making your fall style simple, modern, and chic.

2. Your Ticket to Easier (and better) Fall 2025 Style:
I know, I know…these ā€œexercisesā€ Ā in your closet are not as fun as clicking ā€œAdd to Cartā€ā€¦ but trust me: you'll thank yourself (and me;) when you do these 5 smart things first.
Ā
Before you jump into fall shopping, take a few minutes to:
āœ… Clear out what you’re not wearing
āœ… Identify and organize your go-to fall basics
āœ… See what’s missing
āœ… Make the most of what you already own - practice creative outfit-making!
Ā
Because when your closet is edited and your go-to items are ready to roll, every outfit gets easier. You’ll waste less time, make better style choices, and yes—shop smarter too.
Ā
This week’s Tipsy Tuesday was all about these 5 Smart Steps to Take Control of Your Fall Wardrobe—and I’ve got two ways for you to catch it:

4. My Fall Make-Up Refresh
Yesterday I went to Sephora with my good friend Kim to give our fall make-up a little refresh. We had a great time, and Brian, the sales associate who helped us, was knowledgeable and helpful, and he gave us some great recommendations that felt realistic for everyday wear.
Ā
While my Seint compact is still my go-to favorite, I also love this easy everyday routine. I supplemented my current go-to products with a couple Brian suggested for a clean, no-fuss, polished fall look:

RANDOM FINDĀ
A Cookie as Big as Your Head (but low sugar, high protein;)
Last but not least, a random find to share. My IG feed is overflowing with protein-packed snack recipes, and I’ve tried more than I care to admit.Ā
Ā
This one, though, is the only one I’ve actually made on repeat. It’s billed as a Crumbl cookie dupe…but let's be realistic…. I’ve never had a real Crumbl, and I highly doubt this version tastes nearly as good.Ā
Ā
But here’s the kicker: it clocks in at about 300 calories, is very low sugar, packs around 40 grams of protein, and it’s the size of your head (see my creation below). I think it's delish….you be the judge though;)Ā
Ā
I love the influencer who shared it—she’s adorable—but fair warning, she’s a classic millennial uptalker. So I’ll spare you the video and just drop the recipe below. šŸ˜‰
Ā
Bake at 350 for approx 10-11 minutes. Enjoy!Ā
Ā
That's it for today. Thanks for being here… Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Ā
Just hit reply to this email if you have any questions for me.
I love hearing from you!Ā
Ā
Have a great week ahead, and remember to #justgetdressed. āœ…šŸ‘šŸ¼
