**In the event of an emergency on the course - you are required to use the race provider tracker to initiate contact with the race organization. Once you contact the race organization, if we are able to make contact with you via cell phone, face to face contact or other means we will provide support and direction. If you are unable to make contact with race management and your situation continues to escalate to the point of requiring emergency services and immediate extraction. Then you should activate the race provided tracker AND your personal tracker.
*Rationale - the operating procedure for both devices is to validate the integrity of the alarm while concurrently notifying emergency services. Our community partners are aware of the event and we will work collaboratively with them to manage the situation.
