Thank GOD for Geek Squad. (And for the fact that I actually get protection plans on my computers.)
But here’s the real lifesaver: I didn’t lose anything.
Not one document, not one password, not one draft.
Because everything is backed up.
✔ All my files are in Google Drive.
✔ And every single password—client logins, tools, subscriptions, you name it—is saved in LastPass.
So yeah… I’m back on my old laptop, which runs slower than molasses in January. But you know what? I can still access every client file, every tool, every workflow with a click.
And that, my friend, is the difference between panic mode and business-as-usual when life throws a (literal) toy at your screen.
Tools like Google Drive and LastPass aren’t “nice-to-haves.”
They’re business insurance.
Because let’s be real: it’s not if tech will fail, it’s when. And when it does, the question is:
➡️ Do you go into meltdown mode…
➡️ Or do you just log in from another device and keep moving?
