Experience Story time like never before! Join us for a sensory-rich Story time that engages all your senses, followed by fun tactile activities and play. Sensory Storytime is designed for children ages 3–5, but all children are welcome! Vista Grande Library, September 15th from 10-11 a.m.

We are having some fun to promote Library Card Sign-Up Month with a fun activity: the Library LEGO Checkout Challenge! Both the Casa Grande Main Library and Vista Grande Library will be participating from September 2nd- 30th.

Teens and Tweens! Join Ms. Terry for Paint and Pop on September 18th from 6-8 p.m. at the Vista Grande Library. 1556 N. Arizola Rd. Create a piece of art while sipping on soda! Intended for grades 6th-12th. Registration required.

Choose Health is a fun and interactive nutrition class series designed for youth ages 8 and up! Younger siblings are welcome to join too. Join us for this weekly program starting at the Main Library on September 19th from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Brought to you by the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension and the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program.

Do you like to knit or crochet? Maybe want to learn or teach others? Join the Crochet and Knitting Club on Fridays at the Vista Grande Library, from 3:30-5:00 p.m. Bring your own supplies. Some yarn will be available while supplies last. Ages 12+ and member led.

We are having fun with Legos this month, for Library Card Sign Up Month so why not enjoy some movies that go with the theme? Join us on Saturday, September 20th at 2:00 p.m. for this "2nd" Lego movie in our series. The movie will be at the Casa Grande Main Library. Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult, Light snacks and drinks with screw top lids are allowed.

Registration is open for our popular Beginning Spanish Class with Ms. Violeta and Alondra.  Classes start September 18th and it is recommended that you attend consistently as lessons build from week to week. Looking for just Spanish speaking practice? Join the Spanish conversation from 12:30-1:00 p.m. , just before class starts! (No registration for conversation practice)

English as a Second Language have started at the Vista Grande Library. Classes will also be offered on  Tuesdays and Thursdays. Both classes are from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. weekly. No registration required and all levels are welcome. Come to one day or come to both!

Join the Literati, the monthly book club at the Vista Grande Library! The Literati meets once a month, Mondays from 11:30 a.m.to 12:30 p.m.  Ages 18+ Monday, October 6th we will be discussing All the Colors of the Dark by Chris Whitaker.

  1. 25 in 25 Challenge (All Ages) Read 25 Books throughout 2025
  2. 1000 Books Before Kindergarten (Ages 0-5) Parents, read 1,000 books to your child before they start kindergarten! Show the completed challenge at either library location and get a certificate and picture in front of a fun backdrop!
  3. Back to School 2025 Challenge (All Ages) July 21st through September 26th

Did you know both library locations have study rooms that you can reserve? Study Rooms can be reserved for up to two hours per day. You can reserve online, by phone, or in person.

Doing a little spring cleaning? The Friends of the Casa Grande Public Library are looking for donations! You can drop off your smaller donations to either library,
The Main Library at 449 N. Drylake Street or
The Vista Grande Library at 1556 N. Arizola Rd anytime during regular business hours. For larger donations please call ahead, 520-421-8710, to make arrangements. 

Volunteers needed.
Volunteers needed! The Central Lutheran Church Adult Community Education (ACE) Team offers general education tutoring and English as a second language (ESL) coaching. Volunteers work one-on-one or with small groups once or twice a week to help participants achieve personal development goals. If you would like to serve on the ACE Team, complete the VOLUNTEER INTEREST FORM available here:
