A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Volunteers
Two of the busiest, and most stressful, times of the year in ringette are evaluations and provincials

Behind the scenes, it’s volunteers who make both possible.

These are parents with full-time jobs and families of their own, who still give countless hours to support athletes across Alberta.

It’s important to remember: while evaluations and provincials can feel high-pressure for athletes, they are also challenging for the people running them. When tensions run high, the best thing we can do is show patience, kindness, and respect.

Please respect and thank your local Association volunteers!

Meet the 2025 Ringette Alberta Scholarship Recipients
Each year, Ringette Alberta recognizes athletes who embody the spirit of our sport, dedication, leadership, and community. This year’s recipients are four outstanding young women who excel on the ice, in the classroom, and as leaders in their communities:

Claire Kusler – A lifelong player, referee, and coach whose resilience after injury shows her love for the game.

Saige Kleinmann – An athlete who has represented Alberta and Canada, and values the lifelong friendships in ringette.

Danae Funnell – A player, academic achiever, and coach who balances sport, studies, and leadership.

Kailey Piercy – Athlete, mentor, and future kinesiology student with a passion for growing the sport.

These athletes represent the heart of ringette. Congratulations Claire, Saige, Danae, and Kailey, we’re proud to call you role models for the next generation.
