Happy Friday, my fluffy little pancakes!
Are you having a good September? I love September. I always tell people to visit Vancouver in September because it's perfect weather (did I say that in Gloves Off in Georgia's POV?).
The Wild Card is mostly finished and I finally have a blurb for you! And a trope list! And a quote meant to rile you up! And a weird cat pic that my PA, Lauren, didn't want to use, but I made her!
Tate Ward is the best coach in professional hockey, a hot single dad, one of the best players of all time, and my new boss—who likes everyone but me.

The players will do anything for him, the media is obsessed, and the fans still wear his jersey. Everyone's in love with handsome, authoritative Coach Tate Ward—except me, and the feeling’s mutual.

To save the Vancouver Storm from being sold, though, we need to work together and win the Stanley Cup, and I can’t help but push his buttons to get under his skin.

He moves me into his guest house, though, and makes me sleep in his bed.

He encourages me with the team and tells me I belong.

He’s adorable with his daughter and makes me long for things I shouldn’t.

I try to make him break, but he never loses control—until he finds me crying and fires the person responsible.

And when his brother hits on me, he loses his mind with jealousy.

Beneath his controlled exterior, Tate is protective, playful, and funny. He puts everyone before himself, but when I encourage him to be selfish, I learn that Tate wants…

Me.
Now that I'm finished Tate and Jordan's book, I'm taking a bit of time off to rest and recharge my brain and creativity. A couple romance author friends, Sophia Travers and Kyra Parsi, came to visit me and we headed to beautiful Tofino, where I based the Queen's Cove series!

Romance authors hanging out is exactly what you would expect. We talk about our books, future ideas and projects, and love to brainstorm together (basically what we do via voicenote every day!). I made so many notes this weekend.

Highlights include Kyra forcing Sophia to watch The Office for the first time and laughing so hard she snorted, Sophia trying a cesar (Canadian beverage… trust me and order it with gin, even if you don't like gin), and them meeting Demon Baby and Abby and Mr. Archer!!

Also, every time I've been in a car with Kyra, she makes us listen to Aqua and sings really loudly. I love these two so much.

See below for pics of me trying not to break my butt on the rocks on Chesterman Beach and signing bookplates in anticipation for the book launch in February! I'm sorry I didn't take more pics. I was too busy having fun! My favourite spots in Tofino include Tofitian coffee, Stillwater (a massage in the middle of a bird sanctuary!), Jeju Korean restaurant, Savary Island bakery, and Chocolate Tofino.

Tofino is my favourite place on earth. Super chill, so gorgeous, and always makes me feel at peace. I hope you get a chance to go one day.
Y'all! Book Binds for a Cause is doing an auction for Gaza support and relief and I've donated a signed set of Vancouver Storm paperbacks, an EARLYYYY digital arc of The Wild Card (sent in October, before everyone), and a hat that is not for sale anywhere. All books will be personalized! Open international!

Okay, this book was INSANELY GOOD. Probably the best spice lessons I've ever read and I am taking notes. Hannah hit the New York Times on this book and it is well-deserved because I loved every second of this book. Do yourself a favor and read it.

In this sexy and emotional romance from the acclaimed author of Out of the Woods and Out on a Limb, a small-town woman’s journey to spread her wings intertwines with the arrival of an adventurous newcomer who brings out the best in her.

Prudence Welch has found solace in her introverted life in Baysville, a charming tourist town in Northern Ontario. Despite once dreaming of a life beyond its borders, she now finds contentment in her routines: working at her father’s gas station, writing poetry, and caring for her mother, who was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease shortly after Prue’s nineteenth birthday. But as her mother’s condition worsens and her father’s concerns about her own future intensify, Prue feels her world slipping further out of control.

Enter Milo Kablukov, an enigmatic wanderer whose beat-up van covered with ill-advised bumper stickers rolls into town just when Prue needs a change. It’s all too easy to let go with him, and Prue can’t help but strike up an unlikely friendship with Milo, which leads to a wild and sexy agreement between them.

Milo, a man of many adventures and countless stories, is not one to settle down. However, his brother’s urgent need for help has brought him to Baysville, and now the intriguing Prue has given him more reason to stay—especially once they start spending more time together, their chemistry intensifying, and casual-sex lessons begin at Prue’s request.

But as their temporary arrangement blossoms into something deeper, Prue and Milo discover that getting out of their comfort zones is one thing . . . taking that leap together is something else entirely.

Second chance? Not a chance in hell. Cocky, golden-retriever Hudson Landry broke my heart, and I won’t let him forget it.
I’ve avoided Heartwood at all costs. A decade later, I’m back to consult on the new community arts center—and seeing Hudson reignites a red-hot rage that could burn me alive.
Just my luck, his construction company won the bid for the build, so I’m stuck working with my ex. Worse? We’re both competing to lead the project, and only one of us can come out on top.
I swore I’d never forgive him. But he’s everything I fell for ten years ago–sweet, loyal, endlessly kind. He’s reminding me of the girl I used to be…and making me question everything I thought I knew about the boy who broke me.
Now, I can’t remember why I hated him in the first place.

The exercise class check in… okay… I've been bad! I didn't go for a lot of August because I was so focused on writing The Wild Card, but I'm getting back into it! Here's a meme to make up for it.
