Hello, hello, hello, First name / my friend! In my head, the end of September is miiiiiiiiles away. Whenever I'm heading toward a deadline, every day is like a small year. When it's that time, I can accomplish just about anything in those twenty-four hours…but I can't see far beyond that day. Very much one day at a time over here.  In this very distant-to-me future, I'll be attending a bunch of events. I hope to see you there! Thank you so much for all the love for IN A SECOND! I'm back with a peek at what to expect from this one!  |

The last time Audrey Saunders saw Jude Bellessi, he begged her to ditch her wedding and run off with him. She said no. In her defense, she was already in the dress.  Years later—divorced and done with relationships—Audrey runs right into the one man she never managed to forget. Except Jude isn’t the rebellious bad boy she remembers.  Now Jude's an aerospace engineer, a fiercely protective single dad…and, apparently, her fiancé. At least that’s the story he spun for his sick mother.  When Jude asks her to play along for the summer, Audrey knows better. She really does. But unfinished business is a powerful thing—and so is the pull of the boy who once held her whole heart.  Besides, how much damage can one summer vacation with the biggest mistake of her life really do? Answer: epic. Catastrophe looks a lot like a mother‑in‑law in turbo wedding‑planner mode, a preschooler who doesn’t miss a beat, and a suspiciously high number of hotel rooms with just one bed.  So why does lying about forever feel like the first honest thing she's done in years?  |

New Recommendations  Faster by Andie J. Christopher. This is a very spicy MFM romance set in the world of Formula 1 racing. Everyone I talk to is obsessed with this book—and it’s in KU.  Head Witch in Charge by Avery Flynn. The setup here is a married-but-divorcing witch couple who have to go deal with some witchy shit. Also the husband won’t sign off on the divorce unless they solve the big witchy problem. I like this series a lot. It reminds me of the Stay a Spell series by Juliette Cross.  The Princess and the PI by Nikki Payne. This is one part wild murder mystery, one part steamy steamy romance, and one part Tangled vibes. I love Nikki's work and this is a bonkerballs adventure.  The Blonde Identity series by Ally Carter. If you love a Disney Channel Original Movie, you'll eat this up with a spoon. It's an adult romance ( not YA) but with all the wacky twists you'd expect from a Disney Channel movie. Our main character wakes up with AMNESIA and discovers she's a TWIN--and her twin is a SPY!--and now there's a very grumpy James Bond/Jason Bourne kinda guy involved in the whole mess. What's not to love? |
