August 2025

Hi First name / there,

This year has been the most challenging year on recent record for most, if not all, LGBTQIA+ organizations. Funding cuts, sector changes, culture shifts…it seems like everyone is losing money, staff, and hope.

But, at Queer For Hire, we believe in the restorative power of Queer Joy; our community is resilient, creative, and unstoppable.

I am so excited to shine a light on this part of our community, as a moderate an online panel for the AFP Golden Gate Chapter, “Lessons from LGBTQIA+ Leaders: Fundraising Amid Sector Shifts” on Thursday, September 18 at noon PST.

Panelists are:
🌟Hillary Bray from Z-Space Arts and Technology Society
🌟Suzanne Ford (She/Her/Hers) from San Francisco Pride
🌟Carlo Gómez Arteaga from The Transgender District
🌟Vanessa Serratos from Pacific Center for Human Growth
