Happy Mother's Day!
“The feminine energy is not about being female. It is about being connected to the sacred, to creation, to life itself.” – Clarissa Pinkola Estés
The Divine Feminine in Everyday Life: Nurturing the Sacred Within

The Divine Feminine is not a faraway goddess carved in stone or captured in myth—she lives within each of us, in the quiet moments of care, in the softness we offer ourselves, and in the fierce love that fuels transformation. She is present in the way we prepare a meal with intention, the way we speak kindly to a friend, and the way we listen deeply to our intuition and trust the flow of life.

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to overlook these sacred acts. Yet it is precisely in the small, everyday moments that the Divine Feminine thrives. She shows up in acts of nurturing, whether toward others or ourselves. When we choose to rest instead of push, when we create space for ritual, creativity, or connection—we are embodying her presence.

As we celebrate Mother's Day, we honor not just the role of mothering, but the archetype of the mother—the creator, the nurturer, the one who holds space for growth and healing. You do not have to be a mother to mother. You can mother your dreams, your inner child, your purpose. You can tend to the sacred seeds of your becoming, day by day.

There’s a tender beauty in the way Kuan Yin has shown up throughout my life—not just as a goddess of compassion, but as a divine mother energy that I’ve come to trust deeply. Before being adopted, I didn’t receive the nurturing love every baby deserves. This left imprints I’ve spent a lifetime learning to heal. Yet, in quiet moments, especially in ritual, I turn to her presence—a presence I can feel wrapped around me like warm silk. I found a tea named after her. Sipping that tea is a simple but sacred act that becomes a ceremony of remembrance. With each sip, I feel a part of me being held, seen, and cherished in ways I didn’t know I needed. She mothers the parts of me that were never mothered. She reminds me to connect to the sacred within me and throughout my life.

Let this be a call to remember your own sacredness. Tune into the rhythms of the Earth, the whispers of your heart, and the wisdom of your womb-space or creative center. The Divine Feminine calls us inward—into remembrance, into restoration, into reverence.

Rose & Moon Bath Soak Ritual
A Mother's Day “Self-Mothering” Practice Aligned with the Full Moon in Scorpio

The Moon will be nearly full on Mother's Day, May 11, 2025—just hours away from reaching its peak on May 12. This means we’ll already be deeply immersed in the potent energy of the Full Moon. Full Moons bring illumination, heightened emotion, and an opportunity to release what no longer serves us—making it a powerful time to turn inward and nurture your sacred self.

This Rose & Moon Bath Soak is a beautiful way to honor the Divine Feminine within, while also tapping into the lunar energy that supports healing, reflection, and emotional renewal.

What You'll Need:

  • A handful of fresh or dried rose petals (or a few drops of rose water
  • Epsom salts or Himalayan pink salt
  • A few drops of essential oils like lavender, ylang ylang, or geranium
  • A white or pink candle
  • Soothing music or silence, as desired
Steps:

Set the Space: Light your candle and set an intention for nurturing and self-love. You might say, “I open to receive the sacred love of the Divine Feminine within me.”

Draw Your Bath: As the tub fills, sprinkle in your rose petals, salts, and oils. Swirl them around gently with your hand, infusing the water with your intention.

Soak & Receive: Enter the bath mindfully. As you soak, visualize the nearly full Moon above you, its soft light wrapping around your body like a gentle embrace. Imagine old energy, stress, or emotional heaviness washing away.

Close the Ritual: After your bath, spend a few moments journaling. What do you feel ready to release? What is rising within you that’s asking to be nurtured? Offer gratitude to yourself for showing up in this sacred way.

This ritual is especially meaningful on Mother's Day, whether you're honoring your own journey, your ancestors, or simply the archetypal energy of the Divine Mother. Let this be a time to be held—by the waters, by the moonlight, and by the love you give yourself.

May the sacredness of your divine feminine nurture and support you.

Geranium: The Oil of Emotional Balance
& Feminine Healing
Geranium essential oil is known for its ability to bring the heart into balance and restore emotional harmony. With its soft, floral scent, it gently soothes the nervous system, uplifts the spirit, and supports the release of old wounds—especially those related to self-worth, abandonment, or the absence of nurturing love.

Energetically, Geranium is deeply connected to the Divine Feminine. It invites us to open the heart, embrace compassion, and reconnect to the sweetness of life. This oil nurtures the inner child, offering reassurance and a sense of being held—qualities that resonate so profoundly with this week’s theme of mothering the self and honoring the sacred feminine within.

For the Rose & Moon Bath Soak Ritual, adding a few drops of Geranium enhances the heart-healing properties of the bath. Let its aroma awaken the softness within you, helping to dissolve emotional heaviness and invite in love, tenderness, and renewal. You can also pair it with calming oils such as Lavender and Ylang Ylang in a warm bath to create a serene, spa-like escape at home.
