What thoughts have been running through your mind lately? We think thousands of thoughts every day, many of them the exact same ones we had yesterday. An important step in the Fall Success Program is becoming more aware of those thoughts.
 
Why? Because awareness gives you the power to choose better ones.
 
As humans, our natural tendency is to focus on what’s going wrong (so we can fix it). But when that’s where most of our energy goes, we spend less time creating the kind of thought patterns that lift us up and keep us moving forward.
 
We’re so accustomed to the “self-talk” happening in the background that we hardly notice it anymore—or we replay the same old stories on a loop. Either way, our thoughts aren’t always working to our advantage.
 
Here’s the thing: thoughts create feelings, feelings drive actions, and the cycle repeats. Many of those thoughts are powered by beliefs that have solidified over time.
 
This week, try paying closer attention. Are your thoughts building you up and fueling a positive mindset? Or are some of them pulling you down?
 
The first step is always awareness. Give yourself grace, but start noticing your patterns. Then, ask yourself: Where could I shift one of those unhelpful thoughts into something more supportive?
 
Because the truth is, you get to choose. We all do. It may not feel that way at first, but with practice, you can train your brain to lean toward thoughts that strengthen and sustain you. ✨
