Meet the Smithfield Mountain Bike Park Advisory Committee

Smithfield Mountain Bike Park expansion is on track! I recently met with the newly formed Advisory Committee for our first official meeting.

The newly formed Advisory Committee brings together key stakeholders, including representatives from:

Cairns Regional Council
Cairns Mountain Bike Club
James Cook University
Tourism Tropical North Queensland
Queensland Parks and Wildlife Services

We are gearing up to ensure FNQ is the reef, rainforest and riding capital of the world by 2028! Can't wait!

This Week in Parliament

It was Sitting Week this week where I represented our region in Parliament. This week I spoke on the Health Amendment Bill (No 2) as well as the Penalties and Offences (Sexual Offences) Amendment Bill, both are incredibly important for our region.
