Last  week, our hot water heater decided to die on us.

And let me tell you, being in the Poconos when it’s already chilly? Not ideal.

 

But my boys still need their daily bath (if you know, you know). So there I was, boiling pots of water on the electric kettle and stove and mixing them in the tub like I was running a 1900s homestead.

 

Was it glamorous? Nope.
Was it efficient? Definitely not.
But it worked.

And it reminded me of something I preach in business all the time: when things go sideways, you don’t need the perfect setup — you need a plan B.

That’s when you stay calm, keep moving, and maybe even laugh a little while you pour boiling water into a bathtub.
