The other day I sat down with my 11-year old babysitter and my 5-year-old, and we ended up making mandalas together. They don’t even know about the upcoming Mandala Camps, so it felt extra special to watch them dive in naturally, creating side by side, each with their own style. I snapped a photo of the three we made together. 🌸

Our mixed-age groups are a big part of that magic: older kids get to practice being mentors, while the younger ones light up with inspiration from them. 
 
And honestly, most of my ideas come straight from the kids in my life — my own, my students, even babysitters who once grew up in my classes.

Mandala Magic ☀️

Shadow & Light 🌗
 
Explore the magic of photography through contrast, composition, and creative seeing! Using phones and digital cameras, we’ll tell visual stories and capture the beauty of change during the Fall Equinox.

Clay Creations 🏡
 
Create whimsical fairy houses with air-dry clay! Artists will learn basic molding techniques, then paint and personalize their creations with doors, windows, and decorative details.

Inkspiration 🖋
 
Kids will create bold, layered tattoo-inspired drawings, try temporary body art and face painting, and explore tattoo traditions from around the world

Toy Glow Up 🦄
 
Bring your toys to life! Paint, craft miniature clothes and jewelry, and build tiny 3D houses for a day of magical, creative fun. My students call this “Weird Barbie” camp. :)

Color Lab 🌈
 
Kids will mix, experiment, and play with color while exploring how it works, feels, and tells stories in art.
