Hello First name / community member, We wanted to take a moment to re-introduce our team at NPN and share a little bit more about their unique skill sets we use to meet our clients needs. Meet Nina Nguyen, Search Director |
Nina's specialty is supporting nonprofits through executive searches and leadership transitions. She guides clients by designing equitable and effective hiring processes, creating clear tools for candidate evaluation, and ensuring each step of the search is thoughtful and aligned with their mission. In addition to supporting organizations, she also connects deeply with candidates, taking the time to discuss their background, experience, and needs in a role. This gives her an intimate understanding of each candidate beyond their resume, which helps her determine true alignment between the candidate and the organization. You should reach out to Nina because she brings both deep nonprofit experience and a commitment to making searches inclusive, efficient, and impactful. She's driven to help organizations find leaders who will truly thrive. |

Meet Krystal Ngene, Staffing Director |
Krystal's specialty is helping organizations look beyond filling a role to understand the conditions that make the organization, its employees, and its community successful in their work. She brings a skillset in organizational analysis, examining hiring processes, culture, and areas of inefficiency to connect short-, mid-, and long-term strategies with the success of each placement. Krystal serves as a thought partner, who is both supportive and willing to push organizations to better understand their operations and mission. While the process can be hard, it ultimately forges stronger organizations, employees, and board members to meet the community's needs. Reach out if you're looking for someone who combines strategic insight with practical tools to strengthen both your hires and your organization's overall health. |

Meet Carly Brown, Search Manager |
Carly has a broad knowledge and experience working with nonprofits and community leaders across Oregon. With a long-term appreciation for what volunteer service can give to an individual while they are giving to an organization, she engages board members and stff in a shared search and hiring process that is transparent, inclusive, and successful. She values showing up, building relationships, and learns about an organization's mission and impact so that she can support good decisions. When she speaks to candidates, she brings genuine interest and humanity, because someone who is considering working for an organization is also a supporter, and their positive experience is important for the long-term reputation of the hiring organization. Carly supports clients by facilitating a search process that is a win-win for the organization and for the candidate. A win for the organization is hiring for a job that's interesting, rewarding, human-centered, and as transparent as possible about the opportunities and challenges it holds. She works collaboratively with the search committee (often a combination of board members and staff) to define the job and its priorities. When a board of directors finds itself in a position to hire an executive director, it's often much more time and effort than they have to give to an organization. Carly uses their time efficiently and includes many voices and perspectives to get a good hire; our process is a long-term investment in the organization and the people involved. |
