Most business websites stop at a homepage and a services page.

Everything’s linked in the menu. Everything’s tidy.

But when it comes to SEO, that setup is too general to win.

Here’s what Google actually wants:
A page that answers a specific query better than any other. So the more specific your pages are, the better you are going to rank for certain queries.

Let's say you run a wellness studio:

Your homepage says you do massage.
Your services page lists it alongside 6 other things.

But someone searches: “Sports massage in Frederick MD”

If you don’t have a page built just for that, Google’s not convinced you’re the best match.

…And your competitor with a sports massage landing page?

They rank. They get the click. They get the booking!

So here's the secret sauce to winning at SEO:
If Google can crawl it, and it’s focused, it’ll work.

Every high-intent service deserves its own page because landing pages outperform general ones every time.

(And no, all of these landing pages do NOT need to be in your main navigation)

Google finds your pages through links from other pages on your site, your XML sitemap, or when it’s submitted through tools like Search Console.

Think of your landing pages as focused mini homepages… built for one buyer, one query, one goal. Simple enough, right?!

In next week's email, I’ll share my go-to template for building a landing page that ranks so your services stop hiding behind generic pages and start getting found!

Until next week,
