One of our favorite parts of working with clients is our initial inspiration session, which we lovingly call “Spaghetti Day”.  This method is a true Cat French original, and refers to the process by which we foster a creative, collaborative relationship with our clients. All the goodness that happens in this session is a jumping-off point, sparking the creativity and inspiration that will lead to their dream space.  We have led a few of these magical sessions in the studio already this month, and it has been so exciting!  For us, taking the time to get to know our clients on a deep level and really understanding what would bring them joy in their space is invaluable, and informs everything about how we create a completely unique design that fits them perfectly.

Spaghetti Day is a cornerstone of our process. It's the moment when we really start to discover each client's “Happy Place”, or most ideal living space, as well as uncovering so much about their personal style and preferences.

What does it mean when we say design “happy place”?  One of the things many clients notice when they first find us is how much variety and range there is in our projects. Even a quick look at our portfolio shows that each home we create is completely different- from overall style to color story, patterns, details- no two are remotely the same. There's no prescribed aesthetic here- we create each space from scratch, and design based on the client's vision- their story, their life, their dream space. Spaghetti Day is our first opportunity to dig in and unearth all the design elements that resonate deeply and evoke a true sense of home for them.

A time of connection and communication, Spaghetti Day is when we make the transition from designer+client to true partners in creating something incredible together.  It's a joyful, inspiring, sometimes surprising, and deeply fulfilling start to the design journey. A Home in the Making

There's always a lot going on behind-the-scenes, and one thing we are particularly excited about is this incredible custom home we're creating for the most wonderful client, which is really starting to come to life. The foundation is looking glorious in this lush wooded lot. We'll share more soon, and we cannot WAIT to tell you all about it.  You can see a little bit more of the story when we shared about the ground-breaking ceremony here.
