Happy Friday!

September 19, 2025

It’s been a beautifully quiet, peaceful week—the kind that feels almost rare these days. A gentle reminder that “boring” is, in fact, a privilege. How lucky we are to have moments where the mind can fizz freely and the body can truly rest and rejuvenate. Little joys dotted the calm: an unhurried visit to an indie bookstore, the kind where time bends between the shelves; a genuine, heartfelt compliment that landed just when I didn’t know I needed it; giggling late into the night over a show with my husband.

I’ve been reminded that boundaries are what make these moments possible. We can only fully enjoy the calendars packed with excitement and delight when we’ve carved out space—mentally and physically—to be present and wholly ourselves. And while boundaries can be tough, with others but sometimes even more so with ourselves, my meditation app offered the reminder I needed this week: boundaries are ultimately about honoring your own needs, even when that creates temporary tension.

So this weekend, may you give yourself permission to make intentional choices with how you spend your time and energy, which includes the choice to sit in the quiet. Believe me, any momentary discomfort is always worth the lasting peace.
