At The Rock School, we believe progress reports should reflect what the Lord says about us: we are new creations, His workmanship, and a people in progress. Our mastery-based rubric is designed with this in mind.

 

Instead of assigning a number that points out where a student is lacking, our progress levels show where they are in the journey of growth - each stage is a step forward, and every student is continually building the foundation God has for their lives.

 

We encourage you to keep this in mind as you review your child's progress report today. Reach out to your child's teacher or program director if you need assistance interpreting their report.  Our desire is for progress reports to remind students and families that learning is a journey, not a finish line. Thank you for joining us in celebrating growth and trusting the Lord’s work in each child.

We are excited to launch a new Parent Book Club, reading Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt. This book club will meet on Tuesday mornings for 6 weeks, from October 14th - November 18th.  More details to come!  Sign up below to receive further communication. 

For the first time ever, The Rock School is sending two mission teams to Guatemala! Our students will partner with Down Guatemala and Believe Guatemala to bring hope and practical help to communities in need. We’ve set a goal of $5,000 to send ministry supplies with our teams, and with 600 students on campus, we know we can get there. Even a $10 gift makes a difference! If we reach the goal by tomorrow, the whole school will enjoy a Dress Down Day on Friday, September 26. Donations can be made through Venmo (@therocklions) (memo: Guatemala) or by sending cash with your child to give to their teacher.

 

Chick Fil A will be open this coming Monday, September 29, even though we previously announced a closure. If you had ordered lunch for that day, your order was refunded and you will need to place a new order. Any refunded amount will show as a credit on your account.

 

Students in 10th–12th grade: don’t miss this incredible opportunity to explore Europe. The trip will include visits to renowned World War II sites across the continent.
