And which slow cooker I have

It's a good time of year to get the slow cooker out of the cupboard or where ever you store it.

Mine is in a window seat with storage in my conservatory as my kitchen is teeny.

I have the crockpot 5.6 litre multicooker, which is a large rectangular slow cooker, although I have to admit I only use the saute option and none of the others. It makes a big batch of everything, so feeds 3 of us with leftovers for the freezer sometimes.

At Christmas, I keep the lid off and use it like a pot on the saute function to make my soup and keep it warm in real time (instead of slow cook at 6 or 8 hours), which frees up room on my cooker top for getting on with other bits of cooking.

At new year or anytime in the winter really I use it to heat and keep mulled wine or cider warm, so people can help themselves and ladle themselves a mugful of warm spiced drink.

To be honest though, if you don't have one just buy what you fancy that matches how many portions you need and to match your budget.

They all pretty much do the same job, so a cheap one picked up in a charity shop/thrift store is just as good.

Today I'm sharing 5 of my favourite slow cooker recipes, but you can find them all on my slow cooker page on Tinned Tomatoes and it's a good page to bookmark/save as I add new recipes to it as I create them.

I hope I inspired you to get your slow cooker out again and remember all my slow cooker recipes are here.

See you tomorrow with a few more recipes.

Love
Jac
