Ontario Lacrosse Annual General Meeting |

The Ontario Lacrosse Association’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) takes place November 7–8 at White Oaks Resort & Spa in Niagara-on-the-Lake. This essential event brings together members from across the province for meaningful discussions on governance, decision-making, and the future of lacrosse in Ontario. Everything you need to know — including the weekend agenda, welcome package, and proposed amendments — is now available online. All attendees, including non-voting participants, are required to register by October 25. Join us in celebrating the 2025 Inductees at the Ontario Lacrosse Hall of Fame Dinner, taking place on Saturday, November 8, during the OLA Annual General Meeting in Niagara-on-the-Lake. This year’s inductees represent remarkable contributions to the game as players, builders, veterans, and special contributors. The Class of 2025 includes: Ken Colley and Jim Meredith (Players) Dan Atkinson, Bob Ellis, and Bob Opperman (Builders) Cindy Coon (Veteran) Rad Joseph (Special Contributor) In addition to the Hall of Fame inductions, the evening will also feature the presentation of several prestigious OLA awards, recognizing: - The Lacrosse Person of the Year
- Most Outstanding Graduating Junior A Player
- Most Outstanding Graduating Minor Box Player

Sixes Provincials Set for Hamilton |

The 2025 OLA Sixes Provincial Championships will take place October 24–26 at Heritage Green Sports Park and Mohawk Sports Park in Hamilton, bringing together teams from across Ontario for a weekend of fast-paced, high-energy lacrosse for an exciting showcase of the game’s next generation. Stay tuned for schedules and event updates as teams prepare to compete for Ontario Sixes Provincial titles. |

Kevin Schmidt Appointed as OLA VP of Development |
|
The Ontario Lacrosse Association Board of Directors has appointed Kevin Schmitt of Kitchener as Vice President of Development for the remainder of the current term. A long-time volunteer and former President of the Kitchener Minor Lacrosse Association, Kevin helped expand girls’ lacrosse programming, oversaw rebranding initiatives, and developed grassroots programs across multiple age divisions. Kevin brings more than two decades of leadership experience in sport and community development, including long-standing roles with the Kitchener Minor Lacrosse Association, Woolwich Girls Minor Hockey, and Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest. This appointment follows the recent resignation of Sonya Crossey, who has been an incredible contributor to the Board over several years. We thank Sonya for her service to Ontario Lacrosse and for sharing her passion for the game with all of us. |
