ISSUE #21 | October 6, 2025

Hi, it's Miriam.

Welcome back to the At Work Tune Up, your insider’s playbook with practical, quick, tips on how to improve your team dynamics and keep things happy and healthy at work.

We spend a lot of time at work. We should love what we do.

This week's tip for your toolbox:

Make Wonder a habit.

Teams often jump straight to solutions without asking “What if?” The Genius of Wonder reminds us that the best breakthroughs start with the right questions.

How to get started? Keep reading. ⬇️

How to make it happen

🛠 Try this in your next meeting:

After presenting an issue or agenda item, before getting to “What should we do?”
  • Lead with: “What aren’t we seeing yet?”
  • Give the team 2 minutes of silence to write questions, not answers.
  • Share them aloud before diving into solutions and To Dos.
Note: If Wonder is not natural for you, think about someone you know who has Wonder - or is great at asking those What if… questions. Imagine what they might ask and channel them into your conversation.

Bonus points: If someone on your team has the Genius of Wonder, invite them to share directly. Wonder can be easy to miss - people with this Genius often assume others are asking the same big-picture questions they are. (We’re not!) So, ask: “What’s on your mind?” and let their curiosity shine.

✅ This week’s challenge:
Add a “Wonder question” at the start of one project discussion. Notice how it broadens the conversation from the beginning.

Try it. Let me know how it goes.

Small changes make a big difference.

Just get started.
