Legendary Iris Zimpeto director, Papa Steve Lazar, recently released a book spanning his 25 years as a missionary in Mozambique. His heart was to capture the enduring testimonies of children who grew up with Iris Zimpeto and now as men and women, returned to tell their stories.
Papa Steve writes, "The chapters in this book are living examples of Revelation 12.1, 'They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.' Many of these children’s lives were extremely difficult and traumatised. They had good reason to 'give up,’ but because of Jesus and what He did on the cross for them, they have overcome. The authors have included details of their own choosing — some with explicit descriptions of difficult seasons, others with a more general overview. Some stories are brief while others are give you the long version. With is important is that the story is theirs. This book celebrates the tenacity of those who had every reason to give up but who pressed ahead and are reaping a great reward. It celebrates their successes. Above all, it is a testimony to the amazing goodness of God.”
