Titan Nation,

 

This week, we reached several exciting milestones together. Our 7th-grade Pinecrest scholars became the first class to tour the newly renovated Freedom Tower, our upper school scholars were inducted into various honor societies, our school was selected as the recipient of the 2025–2026 Values-Driven Award of Excellence, and the True North Classical Foundation announced UHealth Jackson Children’s Care as the presenting sponsor of the Titan Golf Invitational!

 

Titans, these accomplishments are not the result of shortcuts. They are the byproduct of the countless hours of preparation you put into your work, your ability to excel in the most difficult of challenges, and your commitment to excellence. 

 

Scholars, we are so proud of every single one of your accomplishments!

Freedom Tower Fieldtrip 

Our 7th grade Pinecrest scholars had the honor of being the first school to visit the newly renovated Freedom Tower.

 

During their visit, our scholars had the opportunity to listen to Christina Diaz Gonzalez, the author of The Red Umbrella, discuss the details of how the book came about through personal family stories, and learned the history of the Freedom Tower from Miami Dade College President, Madeline Pumariega.

 

Our scholars also had the privilege of hearing from former Operation Pedro Pan children, Mr. Max Alvarez and Mr. Jorge Finlay Sr. who shared their heartfelt stories of the pain they felt leaving their families behind uncertain if they would see them again. Mr. Alvarez and Mr. Finlay, Sr. ended their panel with a message of hope and gratitude to the U.S. for affording them the freedom and opportunity to strive to be the very best they could be.

Honor Societies Induction 

This week, True North Classical Academy celebrated our distinguished scholars with inductions into several honor societies, including the National English Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and Quill & Scroll.

 

This highly anticipated event honors our scholars’ accomplishments. After much hard work and dedication, they are invited to join prestigious organizations that recognize their achievements at a higher level.

 

Congratulations, scholars! We are proud of each and every one of you and all that you have accomplished.

National Speech & Debate Association

The National Speech & Debate Association’s Honor Society, also known as the National Forensic League, recognizes middle school and high school students and coaches for participation in speech and debate activities. Students earn merit points for participation in one of the oldest and most respected honor societies known to college admissions offices.

True North Classical Academy was been chosen as the 2025-2026 Values-Driven Award of Excellence recipient! 

 

The Cognia Values-Driven Award of Excellence is a state-level award presented each year to one education organization in every state that exemplifies a value-driven culture through its daily work to improve student outcomes. 

 

At our school, we take the trust of forming highly motivated professionals that seek for higher things in life. This award reflects our commitment to ensuring that every Titan possesses a thirst for knowledge, aligning passion with purpose in the pursuit of the True, Good, and Beautiful.

Titan Golf Invitational Presented by 

UHealth Jackson Children's Care

The True North Classical Foundation announced UHealth Jackson Children's Care as the Presenting Sponsor for the Titan Golf Invitational!

 

The Titan Golf Invitational is a family-friendly golf fundraiser benefiting the True North Classical Foundation. This year’s event will take place at the prestigious Trump National Doral and will feature a series of activities, including a silent auction and golf challenges.
