With the heaviest of hearts, we are side-stepping our 13th business anniversary plans to honor that Porter McGinnis Laffey Shaulis AKA Portato, Bubb, Budderbutt, Mr Chicken Legs, Bubba Wubba, Mr Mr, Softball head, Shmoopaloopus, Boobopatoo, Rumpumpitalyumbumkiss, Snorzzulator, among a zillion other nicknames has crossed the rainbow bridge.

While he weighed just 23 lbs, the hole he leaves behind in our home and in our hearts is gargantuan. We are filled with gratitude for having 15 ½ years with this fantastic character, his incredible care team, and the overwhelming support we've received from friends, family, and clients as we approached this moment. The loss is absolutely devastating, and either one of us is apt to cry at the drop of a hat or the passing of a stiff breeze.

Jeanie didn't eat the day we said goodbye to Porter and has had some stressful tummy troubles ever since. As much as this loss is difficult for us, we recognize that Jeanie has never known a moment of her life in this house without Porter, so it represents a massive shift for her as well.
