Asian bush honeysuckle (Lonicera spp.) is an invasive shrub that spreads aggressively across Kansas, outcompeting native plants and disrupting ecosystem function. One of the most effective and efficient control methods is mist blowing with a backpack sprayer in late fall, when native plants are dormant but honeysuckle remains green. This highly targeted treatment covers 1–2 acres per hour with minimal impact on non-target species.
