The Magic of Before + After |
|
Hi First name / Friends, There’s something undeniably satisfying about a great before and after. Whether it’s a kitchen that transforms from dated to dreamy, or a living room that suddenly feels like the heart of the home, these moments remind us why we love what we do. Design is more than just aesthetics—it’s about seeing potential, telling a story, and crafting spaces that feel as good as they look. At Round Table Design, we live for that reveal moment—when the light hits just right, the details come together, and our clients see their space in a whole new way. Every before has its charm and history, and every after reflects a fresh start, layered with personality, comfort, and intention. This month, we’re sharing a few before-and-after moments from a 7,500-square-foot home completely transformed and furnished with museum-quality mid-century pieces. One of our favorite details is how we carried the exterior brick inside—a classic MCM principle that beautifully blurs the line between indoors and out. The result is a seamless, organic flow that feels both timeless and grounded. We hope you enjoy these glimpses as much as we loved bringing them to life. With gratitude, |

What was once a busy bar—complete with mirrored walls, a sink, and rows of glassware—has been completely reimagined into a serene, book-filled library. Custom built-ins now line the walls, housing an eclectic mix of reads, while mid-century modern details add warmth and sophistication. It’s the kind of space that invites you to slow down, sink in, and stay awhile. Sometimes the most dramatic transformations come from daring to give a room an entirely new purpose—and a whole new personality. |

The entryway, initially covered floor to ceiling in mirrors, now greets guests with a stunning custom mural wallpaper in their place. The hand-illustrated cactus design captures the rich variety of West Texas flora, bringing warmth, texture, and a true sense of place to the home. A lighter, warmer tile underfoot brightens the space, while the continuation of exterior brick inside adds an organic touch and a strong architectural connection. What was once cold and reflective now feels inviting, grounded, and uniquely welcoming. |

The final transformation might be our favorite. What was once a quirky, queen-like room complete with tall, bright red chairs has been reimagined into a sleek, modern den. Layered textures, tailored furnishings, and sophisticated lighting give the space depth and warmth, creating the perfect balance of comfort and style. It’s the kind of room that practically invites you to pour an aged whiskey and stay awhile. |
