hey there First name / friend I should be driving home from a weekend of sunshine, sales, and 75,000 people, but instead, I’m driving home from a canceled event, a flooded park, and a crash course in “weather-induced character building.” Mumfest didn’t happen this year, and while my car is full of unsold product and soggy emotions, I’ve got stories, photos, and just enough serotonin to tell you about it.
Mumfest was canceled because of major flooding (I’m talking boats could’ve sold better than stickers levels of bad). The park was underwater before it even started. While I completely understand how hard it is to pull the plug on an event that takes a full year of planning, it still stings. Especially when you got $20K is product ready to go, a new product to show off, and a banner that was guarantee it bring people into the tent. |

But! The story doesn’t end here. Some incredibly kind New Bern businesses opened their doors to vendors at the last minute, letting us pop up inside their spaces to make up for some of what we lost. I set up at a local bar (shoutout to the heroes serving drinks to stressed-out makers), and while I didn’t make a ton, my conversion rate was over 80%—which is wild. Even better? Someone recognized me from an event 300 miles away. New Bern is small but the world is even smaller |

not too bad for a last minute set up! |

And can we talk about the Post-its® for a second? Apparently, y’all saw the Post-it® panic drop of 2025 and collectively decided to throw your wallets at it. Honestly, I love you for that. The response has been wild in the best way possible, and it feels like everyone’s been waiting for a new way to organize their lives (or their breakdowns).
Top sellers so far: 🩷Overthinking All of This (no surprise here - we are the same) 💜Maybe This Idea Will Stick (my personal fave - love a good pun) 💚Brain Dumpies (which has a matching notepad for when your thoughts need supervision) |

Since Zach and I had a ton of free time, we decided to hand out some sticker superlatives (virtually). Because if the event couldn’t happen, at least the stickers could get their moment. They are my best seller and attention grabber for a reason. Here are a few examples, and you can view the rest of them HERE |

All in all, the weekend wasn’t what I expected, but it reminded me that even when things flood, small businesses (and y'all) always show up. Every order, message, and kind word helped turn what could’ve been a total washout into something really special. If you’ve been eyeing anything or just want to support a small biz still drying out, now’s a great time to snag a little something. I promise it’ll ship faster than the floodwaters receded (tomorrow really) And if you missed the Post-its® that started all this chaos, they’re still up on the site - ready to stick around longer than my weekend plans did. |

drying out and logging off, |

PS: There are probably missing words, spelling errors and all kinds grammatical issues in this email. & I definitely didn't notice them until after I sent this. |
