Titan Nation,

 

This week was filled with celebrations and milestones! Several of our scholars received certificates for earning a perfect score on their End-of-Course (EOC) Assessments, our Fine Arts Scholars were juried into prestigious exhibitions in our county, Ms. Nicole Leon was selected as the 2026 Charter School Teacher of the Year, our school was well represented at the Florida Charter School Conference, and the True North Classical Foundation expanded the activities available for participants during the Titan Golf Invitational.

 

These accomplishments are terrific, but most importantly, they are a direct reflection of the hours of work and dedication you have invested in your commitments. As Titans, we hold ourselves to the highest standards and are constantly seeking the higher things in life. It is always rewarding to see our hard work and dedication recognized.

Perfect Score Certificates 

This week, we celebrated scholars who received a perfect score in their End-of-Course (EOC) Assessments. Throughout our campuses, we had a series of scholars who received this distinction in numerous subjects, including Civics, English, and Science. In fact, several of them received a perfect score in more than one subject.

Fine Arts Success

Nearly 10 True North Fine Arts Department  Art Scholars have been juried into four prestigious exhibitions with the Miami-Dade County Public Schools Visual Arts Department.

2026 Charter School Teacher of the Year 

Our True North Classical Academy Literature Teacher, Ms. Nicole Leon, has been selected as the 2026 Charter School Teacher of the Year!

 

There are tens of thousands of teachers at over 739 charter schools in Florida. The selection was based on a multitude of factors including her student's academic achievement, classroom culture, and overall excellence in teaching. For 20 years, Ms. Leon has been pivotal in the formation of morally centered individuals that seek to find truth, goodness, and beauty. She truly has made a difference in the lives of thousands of students.

 

Nicole, your fellow Titans are beyond proud of you and all that you have accomplished! Congratulations! 

Florida Charter School Conference

A group of True North Classical Academy leadership members traveled to Orlando to represent our school at the Florida Charter School Conference. For two days, they participated in a series of speaker panels, discussions, and breakout sessions to learn more about best practices and innovative educational tools.

 

During this year’s opening session, our Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr. Michael Bileca, had the honor of introducing the conference’s keynote speaker, Doug Lemov. Mr. Lemov is the founder and Chief Knowledge Officer of Teach Like a Champion. His books on teaching and learning are among the most widely recognized in the field of education. 

Titan Golf Invitational presented by 

UHealth Jackson Children's Hospital

The True North Classical Foundation is hosting the Titan Golf Invitational on Wednesday, November 12 at the world renowned Trump Doral. During this event, participants will have the opportunity to Golf at the home of the 2026 PGA Tour Miami's Championship, participate in a silent auction, and enjoy a lovely dinner alongside their Titan Community. 

 

This year, the tournament will also provide the unique opportunity to take lessons at the newly opened Golf Academy. The Golf Academy is equipped with brand new technology, fully integrated Puttview Putting Green, Indoor & Outdoor Trackman Simulators, and award winning staff. The Beginners Golf Academy Experience will take place from 3:30- 4:45PM, while the Titan Golf Invitational is ongoing, and is available as an added option for $125/person. Participants will be allowed to join the event's dinner and will also have the opportunity to participate in this year's silent auction.
