Dear First name / friend,

 

Friday was a landmark day here….I turned the heat on for the first time (don’t tell Bill- he was out of town🤫). But the rest of weekend has been stellar… the sun’s out, the temps are back up, and it’s been the perfect fall weekend.

 

Early this morning a bunch of us (plus about 4,000 people;) did the annual Pell Bridge Run/Walk — the only day of the year you can cross the iconic bridge on foot. We were up and at the bridge before 6am (😳), and caught a fantastic sunrise on the way over the bridge into Newport. Definitely a memorable experience - and so enjoyable thanks to the great weather. 

 

Today we're saying bittersweet farewell to summer with the season closings of two favorite haunts — The Marina Pub and The Landing. Nothing like a little chowder and good music to officially say goodbye to a great summer.
