As we celebrate the fifth anniversary of Five Senses Journeys this week, we're stepping into January with gratitude and honesty. This is peak booking season, from January through March, when many travelers map out their year ahead. That planning process energizes us.

 

But 2026 opens with a whiplash. Geopolitical instability can shift travel plans overnight, and we're navigating that reality alongside you. It's not always easy, but we're committed to showing up when things may go sideways. Thank you for continuing to explore, even when the world can feel unsettled.

Learning while we’re learning. In October, Christian and I joined 20 other travel agency owners for a Seminar at Sea aboard the Regent Seven Seas Splendor, sailing from Montreal to New York. It's luxury at sea, nearly all-inclusive, and a client favorite. Separate from intimate training sessions and meetings with the ship management, our biggest takeaway was with the crew. They work incredibly hard and serve with sincerity. RSSC has our highest rate of repeat-cruise clients, and we were reminded why. 
 

Later this February, our host agency, Montecito Village Travel (MVT), will gather at this luxe Low Country resort, which is also a client favorite. Our MVT affiliation gives us access to supplier relationships, tools, and global resources so that we can stay focused on you. Last year, MVT’s 650+ advisors, including FSJ, generated over half a billion dollars in sales. These four days are packed with strategic meetings, industry insights, and in-person collaboration with travel partners from around the world that fuel our year ahead.
