Hello, First name / my friend!
Like most authors, I receive a ton of questions of questions about my books--especially which ones I have in mind for the future and which friends from the past I'll revisit. Today, I have a few answers for you!
Will Ines (Emme's step-sister from In a Rush) get a book?
I don't know! Maybe? I didn't expect Ines to gain such a cult following but the readers who love her LOVE HER. The most likely scenario is that I tell myself I'm going to write a short visit with her to share exclusively to my newsletter readers…and end up writing a whole novella. Someday! Not today! I'm extremely overcommited today!
What about Grace and Ben? Where's their story?
A few eagle-eyed readers reached out to me after In a Rush released asking, “Is Ben…Ben? Like Ben, Magnolia's Ben?” And the answer is yes! Ben first appeared in The Magnolia Chronicles as one of my Magnolia Santillian's love interests. In my mind, Ben and Grace nailed down their happy ending there. Also in my mind, their love story was fairly straight-forward. You know. Once Ben unf*cked himself. Further in my mind, Ben definitely invited his bestie Rob (and his plus-one Magnolia) to the wedding.
Will Gennie (Noah's niece from In a Jam) get a book when she's grown up?
Something you might not know about me: my brain locks up like brakes on black ice when I think about next-generation stories. I've toyed with one in particular (ahem.) though never been able to fully actualize the stories in my mind. I'm not saying no. More like I need more time knocking on creative doors.
Are we ever going to get a look at the Real Househusbands group chat (Ben's pet project from In a Rush)?
Most likely yes. It's really going to take off once we add Jude to the chat. Speaking of Jude, we are less than 2 months out from the release of In a Second! And holy hannah this book is a journey. I cannot wait to put it in your hands!
