Nurai Reveal: A Journey into Minimalism and Timeless Design
This month, we’re delighted to open our newsletter by unveiling our Project of the Month — a special feature selected to inspire and reflect our design ethos.
Our Nurai project is conceived as a sanctuary of light, texture, and sensory calm. C’est ici has reimagined its interiors to evoke elegance without excess — where natural materials speak softly, spatial flows are intuitive, and every detail is deeply considered.
Open volumes invite daylight to spill effortlessly across the interiors, illuminating surfaces of warm wood, refined stone, and softly textured fabrics. Every element is composed with a quiet balance — architectural clarity intertwined with emotional warmth. Clean lines flow into organic forms, while muted neutral tones gain depth through delicate contrasts and layered finishes.
Nature is seamlessly woven into the spatial rhythm: greenery softens edges, enlivens corners, and gently dissolves the boundary between indoors and out. Light, too, becomes an architectural material — sculptural yet understated. Ambient, task, and accent layers harmonize to shape atmosphere, reveal texture, and preserve a sense of enduring calm.
Each material has been chosen for how it feels as much as how it looks — stone cool beneath the feet, wood imbued with warmth, metals lending quiet sophistication.
Artworks and bespoke furnishings are not simply placed but integrated, creating interiors that transcend function to tell a story — one of place, identity, and lived experience.
While the project never relies on labels, its spirit is quietly aligned with Minimalism and Transitional Design. It embraces the restrained beauty of simplicity while layering it with timeless materials, subtle contrasts, and crafted details that create a bridge between contemporary purity and classic warmth.
The result is an interior that feels elevated yet effortless, refined yet welcoming — a place where one can pause, breathe, and feel at home.
ARCHITECTURAL WONDER OF THE MONTH
Echoes x Edges: Where Ancient Meets Modern.
This month, we turn our attention to the transformative force reshaping the creative landscape — the rising power of AI in architecture and interior design.
Among the many explorations emerging from this new frontier, Echoes x Edges stood out to us for its poetic tension between memory and modernity.
Through AI, fragments of a forgotten chapel are reimagined into a minimalist structure that bridges centuries, transforming decay into design and ruins into rebirth.
It’s a study that reminds us how technology, when guided by human intuition, can become a tool for storytelling — amplifying imagination, not replacing it.
As designers, we see in this the future of creative collaboration: where algorithms extend possibility, but the essence of meaning remains distinctly human.
In Echoes x Edges, the past isn’t erased — it’s amplified.
Instead of repairing what time has worn away, this conceptual study builds around it, layering clean geometry over crumbled textures.
The result is a dialogue between fragility and precision: where decay becomes structure, and absence turns into light.
The past is not hidden or imitated but exposed, honored, and made central.
Concrete planes and minimalist volumes embrace the ruin without overpowering it, allowing history and modernity to coexist in tension and harmony.
What emerges is a new kind of sacred space: one born from the collision of eras, where silence feels deliberate and every shadow carries memory.
Though Echoes x Edges does not exist in physical form, its essence lies in exploring how architecture can transcend time through imagination — and how technology, particularly AI, enables that exploration.
Artificial intelligence here serves not as a replacement for human creativity but as a collaborator. It can visualize ideas that might once have remained sketches or dreams — blending data, texture, and emotion into architectural imagery that challenges convention.
For designers worldwide, AI offers an expanded toolkit: it can accelerate visualization, simulate materials, and unlock cross-disciplinary experimentation. Yet its power remains rooted in the mind that guides it.
The essence of design still lies in intuition — in the human capacity to sense proportion, atmosphere, and meaning.
Technology may illuminate possibilities, but the soul of creation remains human.
In this balance between echoes and edges — between what once was and what might be — lies the promise of a new architectural language:
one that listens to history, yet speaks in the syntax of tomorrow.
DESIGN INSIGHT
The Warm Minimalism Revival
Minimalism is evolving.
No longer defined by stark white spaces and strict restraint, today’s interiors embrace a warmer, more soulful interpretation — one that celebrates simplicity without losing depth or character. This movement, often called warm minimalism, leans into textured neutrals, tactile finishes, and thoughtful imperfections that make a space feel both elevated and lived in.
In the current design landscape, materiality and texture are taking center stage. Instead of relying on color or ornamentation, spaces are being shaped through subtle layers of natural materials, tonal contrasts, and handcrafted details. It’s about creating environments that feel calm and grounded, yet rich in personality.
At C’est ici, this philosophy continues to guide and shape the sensibility of many of our recent projects, where materiality becomes a language through which emotion and identity are expressed. In Project Bogotá, for instance, we immersed ourselves in the study of natural surfaces — from the fluid veining of marble to the raw tactility of stone and the quiet rhythm of artisanal tiles. Our exploration went beyond aesthetic composition; it was an investigation into how each finish, grain, and pattern can influence the atmosphere and narrative of a space.
Every surface was selected not merely for its visual harmony but for the feeling it evokes — the cool stillness of honed marble under natural light, the grounding presence of textured stone, the handmade imperfection of tiles that carry the warmth of human touch. Through these combinations, we sought to create interiors that resonate on both a sensory and emotional level — spaces that feel crafted, lived-in, and deeply connected to their material essence.

Meanwhile, within Project Port de la Mer, we delved deeply into the sensory language of textiles, textures, and finishes to craft a palette that feels both cohesive and distinctive — a visual harmony that defines the character of the space.
Every fabric, grain, and tone was chosen not merely for its aesthetic appeal, but for how it interacts with light, touch, and proportion. By layering materials that share subtle differences in texture and tone, the interior achieves a refined balance — one that whispers rather than declares, inviting calm contemplation instead of demanding attention.

At its heart, this approach embodies the essence of warm minimalism — a philosophy that celebrates the purity of form and the emotion of simplicity. It is not about adding more, but about distilling the essential; about curating rather than accumulating.
Within this design language, restraint becomes expressive, warmth becomes structural, and every element, from the soft drape of linen to the quiet glow of wood, contributes to a sense of timeless, effortless beauty.
The result is a space where elegance lies in understatement, and atmosphere becomes the true protagonist.
WHISPERS OF DESIGN
Objects That Speaks Softly, Yet Define a Space.
This month, our attention turns to pieces that speak softly yet resonate deeply — designs that balance form, texture, and quiet character with effortless grace. Each element in this curation tells its own story, carrying with it a sense of warmth, craftsmanship, and emotional depth. Rather than competing for attention, these objects contribute to a shared harmony, enriching interiors through subtle contrasts and timeless detail.
We have set out below five of our favorite picks of the month for you.
The Molteni dining chairs set the tone with their clean silhouettes and tactile refinement, embodying the ideal dialogue between comfort and sophistication. Around the same table, the Monk chairs introduce a sculptural lightness — a quiet reminder that simplicity, when guided by intention, can be the most striking form of design.
We find ourselves equally captivated by FEMM’s sculptural artworks, pieces that seem to breathe within a space. Their organic forms carry a sense of quiet strength, grounding modern interiors while infusing them with soul.
They are not just visual anchors but emotional ones — objects that engage both eye and intuition.
lllumination takes on a poetic dimension with Bocci’s sculptural cable light, a fixture that behaves more like an art installation than a traditional source of light. It drifts through the air with a sense of balance and delicacy, creating a quiet drama that changes with every angle and shadow.
The Victoria sofa invites a moment of pause with its understated elegance and enveloping form, while the 135 armchair, bold in chrome and deep leather, introduces a confident counterpoint.
Together, they create a dialogue between comfort and structure, intimacy and strength — a visual symphony that defines the room without overpowering it.
These are the pieces that remind us what thoughtful design truly means. They do not shout for attention; they whisper with purpose.
In the curve of a chair, the movement of light, or the touch of a sculptural detail, they reveal that beauty lies not in excess, but in intention, emotion, and enduring presence.
A SEASON OF REFLECTION
Design That Invites Pause and Presence.
As the season shifts, we’re reminded that design — much like life — reveals its beauty in the quietest of details. Slow down and observe: notice how light moves gently across surfaces, how textures invite touch, and how each form finds its dialogue with another. It’s in these still moments that a space begins to breathe and truly come alive.
Appreciate materiality — every material carries a story. The warmth of wood, the cool grace of stone, the softness of fabric: when chosen with intention, they transcend function to become part of an experience, shaping interiors that feel authentic, lived-in, and deeply personal.
Honor proportion and scale, for it is balance that brings harmony. The way objects, volumes, and furniture relate to one another transforms even the simplest arrangement into something complete and considered.
And above all, embrace layered simplicity. True elegance lies not in what we add, but in what we choose to keep — in curating pieces that quietly converse, enhancing daily life without overpowering it.
This October, let interiors mirror the season’s sense of calm and reflection — spaces that invite us to pause, to breathe, and to appreciate the subtle beauty that surrounds us.
After all, timeless design is not just seen; it’s felt in the rhythm of stillness, balance, and intention.
Your presence in our community continues to inspire our creativity and drive our passion.
It’s a reminder of why we do what we do — to design with intention, to innovate with purpose, and to evolve alongside those who share our vision.
Thank you for walking this journey with us.
