Nov 2025 🦃
The Solidarity Scoop: November 2025
As we move into this season of gratitude, we’re reflecting on just how much this community has made possible across borders, countries, and oceans. Here’s a quick look at what your solidarity set in motion this fall.
🌍 SE Spotlight: Ukraine
Thanks to our community and the leadership of our team’s very own Jona Block, we officially launched our first pilot in Lviv at Phoenix House, a community-led shelter supporting internally displaced families in Ukraine. Since October, we’ve:
  • delivered two months of hygiene supplies
  • completed a WASH + solar energy assessment
  • distributed STEM activity books
  • secured a $10,000 grant to upgrade bathrooms for accessibility
Phoenix House, operated by Jay Rivera of Volunteer Action, provides free housing, meals, vocational training, and psychological support for 12 families (46 people). Many residents are single mothers, children, and older adults fleeing frontline areas. It’s a space built on dignity and community participation, and we're excited to share how the spirit of Solidarity has reached its borders.

📦 a Grassroots Supply Chain
From Texas to Mexico to Jordan, your support helps essential supplies travel across barriers and into the hands of families who need them most.

Texas is where so much begins. We receive donations and purchase essentials like diapers, baby clothing, hygiene items, socks, toys, and homemade Auntie Sewing Squad bags. These supplies are sorted, packed, and delivered to our community partners across the Rio Grande Valley.

This month, Iffah, Lara, and Miranda packed a full suitcase of supplies to send to Jordan.

We also supported a community baby shower in Alamo, TX, sharing diapers, clothing, and newborn essentials with local moms and families. No border crossings required to make an impact.

In Reynosa, Karely is distributing kits and supporting families locally, and this month, she traveled with Jose all the way to Tapachula at Mexico’s southern border. Working alongside Dison, we provided hygiene kits and supported WASH and women’s health needs for families on the move.

The suitcase packed in Texas will soon travel to Jordan with Lara, where it will support families with supplies that are difficult to source locally.

Across continents, these supplies move with intention, care, and community. They are carried by a global, grassroots team working together to meet families where they are.
💜 Together, We Build Belonging
Across Mexico, Jordan, Ukraine, Canada, and Texas, Solidarity continues to grow as a global, grassroots team, traveling across borders to meet families where they are.

We’re grateful every day for the communities that guide this work, and for you, who make it possible. Thank you for standing with us through every crisis, across every border, and in every act of rebuilding.

With gratitude,
The Solidarity Engineering Team
