Hello my little lemon tarts! I hope this is the best Wednesday of your life. We had a very fun Halloween with Demon Baby, who was dressed as a lion (rawr). I was an elephant and Mr. Archer was our zookeeper. Something cute and unexpected about Mr. Archer is that he gets VERY into decorating the outside of the house for Halloween and loves giving out candy to all the neighbourhood kids. He's really settling into his dad life. He even has Crocs that he insists on wearing everywhere (sigh…). All the other dads in the neighbourhood had them so he wanted them, too. Speaking of cute dads, The Wild Card is up on Netgalley for Americans! You don't know how happy I am to see the early rave reviews. It was so important to me that we end this series on a high note and I have such a soft spot in my heart for both Tate and Jordan. I think you're going to love them, too. Please note that my publisher, Dell, is in charge of the NetGalley stuff! If you signed up for an arc with me, check the email you received for your arc date! |

More fun things! About one million years ago, I said I'd interview Mr. Archer. I even took your questions! Well, I did it. In the summer, actually. I know. Forever ago! I finally hit “publish” on the podcast below (better late than never) so here we are! Listen to me asking him questions about our life, his sleep paralysis demon, and what type of romance novel he'd write. |

I don't know a ton about Ms. Rachel because Demon Baby is still a bit too young for her children's show, but I do see her speaking out on issues that are important to her when it would be easier to be silent. She showed up to an award ceremony wearing a dress with drawings by children from Gaza to bring awareness to their struggles. She is an advocate for children's health and safety around the world, living her purpose and walking the walk, and I respect and admire her for that! I see women like her and go, yeah, that's who I want to be! Another thing that made me smile (and this will be no surprise from the books I write) is men supporting women! I've included an image above of Vladimir Guerrero Jr wearing Marie-Phillip Poulin's jersey before the Blue Jays game this weekend. Poulin is a female hockey player in the PWHL, as well as Canada's team captain. What a man Vladdy is for shining a spotlight on women in sports!! Good job. |

One of my close friends, Helen Camisa, has a yoga Patreon for bigger bodied people called Fat+Happy. You may recognize Helen from the dedication of The Fake Out, or the event we did together in Vancouver for the release of Gloves Off! Every morning, I attempt a meditation before doing my writing. I'm not great at it. My mind wanders a lot, but I try, and that's the important part. I've been enjoying the meditations Helen has been including as part of her Patreon, such as the one above. She has a very calming, steady voice, and hearing her talk brings me joy! |

Okay, you know I love talking about skincare. I have been loving The Ordinary because their ingredients are very simple and effective and super super affordable! I use the hyaluronic acid on a wet face after cleansing, wait for it to dry, and then slather more moisturizer over top. I wish this stuff came in a Costco-sized pump bottle, based on how much I use. Hyaluronic acid is the most effective moisturizer for me. It's hydrophillic which means it LOVES water, so it's great at laying beneath something thicker. I loooove the vitamin C crystals because you can mix them into your moisturizer, and the crystals are more stable than the regular liquid form (vitamin c is super unstable in UV light and oxygen… did you know I used to be a chemical engineer?). |

Malena Amin is two people. At home, she the respectable, rule-abiding daughter that her controlling family expects. At her prestigious Ivy-League University, she’s the risk-taking, adventurous woman that she wants to be. With parents who demand to know her location settings at all times, Malena uses a secret phone and secret bank account to make her double life possible. But when her tutoring job falls through, she hits a snag in funding that double life. So, Malena sets her eyes on the prize money from a National feature-writing contest through the school paper. And when she intercepts an invitation to an ultra-exclusive secret society on campus—she has the perfect story. She’ll attend, lay low, and get an inside look. Unfortunately, she’s discovered early in the night by the notorious playboy and Hastings Media heir: Conrad Hastings. The frustratingly attractive Conrad doesn’t aspire to anything other than a good time. But when his newspaper-magnate father discovers that he’s delinquent on work for the school paper, Conrad needs to complete it before his father can make good on an ultimatum. So, he agrees to let Malena into the secret society—temporarily— if she agrees to share a byline on the article they’ll write together. Conrad fulfils his obligations, and Malena gets the inside look she needs for the contest. But, the two soon discover an art world mystery hidden between lavish parties and Gothic libraries. And more concerningly: a palpable spark between them.
