Hi First name / Slothies!
I’m trying something different this week—keeping it short and real. So, there is no blog feature for this issue.
Does anyone else feel like every “one month until Black Friday” reminder makes you want to scream? 🙃
I get it—this is the season for end-of-year marketing pushes. As a marketer, I understand the strategy. But as a consumer—and a human—I’m tapped out.
This year was my
under-consumption era. I wasn’t perfect, but it’s changed the way I shop and what I bring into my home. If something isn’t genuinely useful or life-changing, it stays on the shelf.
Maybe that shift is hitting harder because everything feels heavier lately: government shutdown, family and friends at capacity, prices climbing, the world… crazy. Add a new vertigo diagnosis, and I physically can’t overdo it even if I try.
So instead of spiraling about it all, I’m focusing on what grounds me—working my plan, not chasing every new thing. Staying consistent instead of reactive. One step, one day, one breath at a time.
I'm sharing this to remind you that you're not the only one feeling this way, and it's okay to focus on yourself and what you can be consistent with instead of shifting and morphing all the time.
You’ve got this—on your side always! 🦥💛
XOXO,
Renee
P.S. Happy birthday to my mom—thanks for teaching me how to be myself, even when the world’s constantly trying to convince me to be like everyone else.
