One of my favorite birthday cards that I have always kept said,

 

The buzz kill from the October 18 “No Kings“ March happened quickly, but a unicorn stayed with me and that my parents were brave and stood with others for democracy in a small South Carolina town. 

 

 A Tiny Shiny Shop was open that day, but I did send emails and postcards to the Missouri senators and my representative, but I don't think the senators care.  But we keep trying.  Right?

 

For some therapy I searched news reports about the “No King” gatherings around the world.   A unicorn interview in California made me laugh, brought tears to my eyes and gave hope.  I hope if warms your heart too.

We heart unicorns.

A Tiny Shiny Shop has tiny treats to fill the pumpkins and mailboxes to balance out the candy binges and bring happiness!

I am almost finished with “The Tokyo Toilet”.  

It is so good.  If you desire to read I won't spoil what warmed my heart and leaves me asking why isn't thoughtful good design the norm?  
 

Why is art not factored into more public space decisions?

 

One surprise is the film “Perfect Days” was produced by the project initiator/sponsor of the Tokyo Toilet Project, Koji Yanai.  When the toilets first opened they were not used and were marked with graffiti, with advice if they were celebrated and presented as an art form people would value the project, he conceived a film.  Sending a letter to the director Wim Wenders, Wenders responded with a letter agreeing to the project. 

 

Yes!   Starting something special via letters!

 

 

This month I got in a funk.  You helped me get out of it.
