Working with people to make better things happen for humans is beautiful work. And it’s hard work. So, rest is critical. If we don’t take care of ourselves, it’s hard to care for others. As busy people, one of our most valuable resources is time. What if someone told you that you were about to receive a gift of an hour of time. Wouldn’t that be wonderful?!

Here's the good news: This Sunday, you're getting a whole hour back! What a gift!

When clocks fall back for Daylight Savings Time, millions of us will gain 60 precious minutes. But here's a playful twist: What if you decided exactly when to claim your hour?
  • Change your clock at 10 am and take that "extra" hour for a morning walk in the crisp autumn air?
  • "Save" it until 2 pm for the nap you've been dreaming about?
  • Wait until evening to "set the clock" and finally bake those treats you've been wanting to try?
What would you do with an hour that's just for YOU?

A Next Step
You're influential. The people around you notice how you treat yourself. So here's a question: How might you encourage your team to actually use this gift - not just this Sunday but consistently? What could shift in your workplace if everyone took rest seriously?

When we take care of ourselves, we show up better for others. That's not selfish, that's sustainable.

Stay Curious!
