Happy Monday, First name / friend

It's November, which means it's planning time at AGLG. Business planning, personal planning — aaaaall the planning for 2026.

We spent our team meeting this week reflecting on where we are now and where we want to be, using a tool called the wheel of life. (Click the image below to download the wheel of life page from our book.)

The idea here is to get an overview of your life as a whole: what matters to you, what you're prioritizing, and how it compares to your ideal.

Start out by identifying eight important areas of your life (or more, if you want to draw your own wheel). These can be just about anything you like. For example, you could choose career, family, personal growth, spirituality, creativity, social impact, rest, hobbies, or community.

Next, rate each of those areas on a scale from one to ten (ten meaning this area of your life is absolutely perfect). Color in the sections accordingly.

You can use this tool to reflect. Where is the majority of your energy going? Where are you thriving? Where do you want to see improvement? Does your wheel seem balanced?

A couple things to note:
  1. This isn't a competition. Your categories and your ratings don't have to look anything like the next person's. This is for you.
  2. Not everything has to be a ten. Somethings aspects of your life will be more important than others. This exercise is just meant to help you visualize your personal priorities.
