resident tip of the month
sort, wash, dry, repeat!
At Legacy Residential Homes, learning independent living skills helps residents build confidence and self-sufficiency. Laundry is a key skill that keeps living spaces organized and teaches responsibility.
Steps for Success
Sort clothes by color and fabric type.
Load the washing machine, add detergent, select the appropriate cycle, and start the wash.
Transfer clothes to the dryer, clean the lint trap, choose the correct setting, and start the dryer.
Remove, fold, or hang clothes, and put them away.
