Thrills, Chills, and Smiles at Kings Island
On Saturday, October 18th, Legacy Residential Homes residents and staff enjoyed a thrilling day at Kings Island’s Halloween Haunt. The group rode coasters, explored haunted mazes, and soaked in the festive atmosphere. 
 
The boys had an amazing time laughing, sharing scares, and making memories. Thanks to the staff and chaperones who made the outing safe and unforgettable.

Fireside Friday: Building Bonds at Legacy
 
Legacy Residential Homes residents and staff gathered around a cozy campfire for a night of connection, reflection, and fun. 
 
A round-table discussion was held during the evening, encouraging open dialogue between residents and staff. 
 
The night was filled with meaningful conversation, and the crackle of the fire — a perfect reminder of the importance of community and understanding within the Legacy family.

Courtside Fun: Residents Take on Staff
 
Residents and staff at Legacy Residential Homes’ Birchridge Drive location came together for a fun and energetic resident vs. staff basketball game. 
 
The friendly competition provided a fantastic team-building opportunity, allowing everyone to connect, cheer each other on, and enjoy some lighthearted rivalry.
 
Events like these highlight the importance of community, camaraderie, and shared experiences within the Legacy family.

At Legacy Residential Homes, learning independent living skills helps residents build confidence and self-sufficiency. Laundry is a key skill that keeps living spaces organized and teaches responsibility.
 
Steps for Success
  1. Sort clothes by color and fabric type.
  2. Load the washing machine, add detergent, select the appropriate cycle, and start the wash.
  3. Transfer clothes to the dryer, clean the lint trap, choose the correct setting, and start the dryer.
  4. Remove, fold, or hang clothes, and put them away.
Mastering laundry empowers residents to take charge of their space and develop lifelong habits for independence.
