This past October, members of Con Brio ensemble proudly represented CYC at the Hoosier Hills Choral Festival, an annual fall tradition hosted by the Columbus Indiana Children’s Choir. Choirs from across the Midwest came together for a weekend of song that culminated in a public performance under the direction of guest conductor Ruth Dwyer, Indianapolis Children’s Choir Director of Education Emerita. It was a joyful weekend of music-making, connection, and community — a beautiful reminder of the power of voices united in song.
Halloween at cyc
This Halloween, choirs across CYC dressed up for a fun and spooky rehearsal to get into the Halloween spirit! Vivace led the way with creative costumes, festive energy, and plenty of laughter as singers filled the room with music and joy. From witches and wizards to superheroes and classic Halloween favorites, the evening was full of imagination and camaraderie. Events like these remind us that CYC is not just about singing together—it’s about buildingacommunity where creativity, friendship, and fun thrive in harmony.
