Todays e-news is partly due to my own personal frustration. I am amazed by how many people pull the “I am offended by that” card. What amazes me is what they ARE offended by and what they find acceptable.

There are only a few things that I find offensive and they are hating someone just because they are different than you, bullying people, abusing people or animals and rude behavior - that's it - that is what I find offensive.

But some where a long the way our society has become ridiculous in many ways. But seriously if you come up to me tell me that a shirt, or my use of crystals, or my size (weight) offends you my response is going to be “ok” because your opinion doesn't not impact my life.

I had a conversation with someone recently who said that she finds homosexuality offensive and when I asked what is so offensive about it to her she responded with “well because it is wrong.” I then asked what is wrong about it? She just paused and with confusion in her voice asked me why it did not offend me. I simply said because it is none of my business who you love. They did not have a response

I guess my question is why are people using the “I am offended by that” card as an excuse to be less tolerant and empathetic? Do you know what truly offends you? Do you even know or do you get caught up in the collective energy?

When did we become so privileged that my opinion means more than yours or vise versa? When it comes to opinions I take them with a grain of salt for everyone has one, but it doesn't make anyone right or better than it just means your opinion is different than mine - so what? It doesn't harm me in any way that your opinion is different than mine.

So, I guess I am wondering are you living life as a victim and finding things to be offensive about? Or are you rising above and showing empathy and kindness even to those who think, dress, live and believe differently than you do?

I want to challenge you all to go one week just ONE week without REACTING to people, places or situations. I challenge you to stop, take a deep breath, and ask “how can I turn this into a healing experience for both of us?”

And next time you think you are offended stop and ask yourself why it offends you. Is it a legitimate offense or are you playing the victim card?

I may not always like a saying or picture on a T-Shirt but unless it is something that is truly offensive it's none of my business. So, let's practice more kindness, acceptance, and empathy rather than give into entitlement and a victim mind set.

Remember our world around us is literally created by energy and intention, so if you do not like how the world is today check in with yourself - what energy are you adding to the collective consciousness? We are all responsible.

May we bring more peace, light and love especially as we enter a new year.
