Hey First name / friend,

This time of year always carries an extra spark. The gatherings, the gratitude, and yes, all the love. Between Thanksgiving and Valentine’s Day, more couples get engaged than at any other time. The industry calls it engagement season. I think of it as the season stories begin.

Coincidentally, today marks fourteen years since the start of mine. I met my husband on 11-11-11...magic was inevitable. And as a true wedding lover, I somehow convinced him to marry me three times. He’s a good sport...(happy anniversary, amor!!).

That love of weddings is what draws me to the travel that surrounds them. In my twenties, while in grad school, I was a wedding planner and photographer. I loved watching people express their culture, traditions, family, and style in one beautiful celebration of who they are.

Now, I help couples design their next chapters through travel — proposal trips, wedding weekends, honeymoons, and anniversaries — with that same level of intention.

So today, let’s talk about how to make the stress of wedding planning fade a little and create more space for the joy it deserves. Stick around until the end for destination ideas that match your couple archetype.
WHY COUPLES WORK WITH ME
Wedding travel is about creating a setting that reflects who you are together. That might mean a villa in Tuscany, a modern retreat by the sea, or a wellness-minded hideaway surrounded by nature.

My role is to listen, understand your vision, and bring it to life through places that feel personal. Room blocks, concessions, and logistics are just the bonus layer that makes it all flow.

If you’ve never planned a wedding before, my one piece of advice is to outsource what you can. Not the decisions (those are yours). But having experts advise and execute saves enormous time and energy. [If I may offer a second piece of advice, it's to invest in a great photographer…people don't often remember the food, but you'll look at the pictures your entire life.]

My clients count on me whenever their celebration involves travel, and I bring the same creative precision I once brought to designing weddings. You focus on the love. I’ll make sure the setting is perfect for it.

What you can count on us for

> Pop-the-Question trips: choosing the right destination and keeping the surprise a surprise

> Pre-party trips with your crew (the stag and hen): destinations, hotels, and experiences that fit your vibe

> Wedding week(end): destination recommendations, managing guest travel, room blocks so everyone arrives and stays happy, plus pre and post trips for your guests

> Honeymoons: intimate, design-driven, and restorative (if you need it)

> Anniversaries: because it’s important to keep the spark alive

Having one trusted contact across all your love travel means fewer moving parts, fewer group texts, and more time for each other.

Every love story has its own rhythm. Here are four couple archetypes I see often, and where their wedding travels might take them.

The Curious Culture Lovers
For those who find beauty in color, craft, and authenticity.
The Sophisticated City Lovers
For the couple who feels most alive among art, design, and good conversation.
The Countryside Romantics
For those drawn to gardens, vintage, and the pleasures of slow days.
  • Pop-the-Question: The Dunlin in Charleston; lowcountry charm and timeless river views.
  • Wedding: Domaine de Fontenille in Provence; vines, art, and understated French style.
  • Honeymoon: Les Sources de Caudalie near Bordeaux; wine, wellness, hot springs, and warm hospitality.
The New Yorker Beach Lovers
For couples who crave sea breezes, sunlight, and bare feet away from the city.
  • Pop-the-Question: A weekend escape to Hotel Esencia on the Riviera Maya for Mezcal tasting, temascal, spa time, and a gorgeous near-seafront jungle bungalow with a plunge pool.
  • Wedding: Belmond La Samanna in Saint-Martin; iconic Caribbean beauty with European polish.
  • Honeymoon: Malliouhana in Anguilla; artful, peaceful, and endlessly romantic.

This season celebrates love in all its forms. I design the travel that gives it a place to unfold. So after you toast to your own story, or your friends’ or your kids’, reach out to Good Trips to put the plans in motion.

For à la carte needs, like hotel room blocks or honeymoons, inquire below. It would be a pleasure to work with you!

P.S. Each year, I take on a small number of comprehensive, custom wedding travel projects, from proposals to honeymoons. If you’d like to be considered for 2026, just reply to this email and I’ll add you to the waitlist. I’ll be reaching out before the end of the month.

And now, I’m off to play hooky with my man over tea and a matinee while the boys are at school, one of the simple ways we love to celebrate ourselves from home. 🖤
