As the mornings turn colder and we ease into winter routines, this time of year naturally invites reflection and forward thinking. Whether you're planning a move, setting goals for the future, or just getting ready for a fresh start in 2026, now is the perfect time to lay the groundwork.

In this month’s newsletter, we're sharing what you can do now if you’re thinking about selling in 2026, along with a few powerful takeaways from a recent session our team had with influential author Dr. Benjamin Hardy. His approach to goal setting might just change the way you think about progress.

Whether you're buying, selling, or simply setting your sights on something new, We're here to help you move forward with clarity and confidence. Let us know how we can support you as we head into the home stretch of the year.

With the end of the year in sight, you may already be thinking about your goals for the year ahead. If one of those goals is selling your home, we're here to help. Whether you're looking to upsize, downsize, relocate, or simply cash in on your equity, the smartest way to go about it is to start planning early. Even if your move is months away, the steps you take now can set you up for a smoother, more successful sale.

Talk with us, your real estate agents.
We'll help you understand what’s happening in the current market, preview your home to suggest potential updates to help you get top dollar for your home, and work with you to build a strategy that aligns with your ideal timeline.

Start preparing your home.
When buyers tour your home, small things like burnt-out lightbulbs or scuffed walls can make a bigger impression than you’d think. Use your time now to make simple repairs and refresh your space. We'll help you determine what’s worth fixing or updating and what’s simply not necessary.

Organize key documents.
Gather maintenance records, warranty info, utility bills, and a list of recent improvements. Having these on hand will make your home easier to market and give buyers confidence the home was well taken care of.

Plan your next move.
Are you buying again? Downsizing? Moving out of the area? If you’ll be purchasing another home, now is the time to determine where you want to go and how you want to pay for it. We can help walk you through those options and decisions as well.

Each situation is unique, but one thing is clear: thoughtful planning leads to better outcomes. If you’re thinking about selling in the next year, let’s talk. The sooner we start, the more prepared we’ll be and the less stressful the moving process will be.

Remember, if you’re moving out of the area, we can connect you with a trusted real estate professional through our nationwide PLACE network.

We recently had the honor of hearing from Dr. Benjamin Hardy on one of our PLACE All Partner Calls. Dr. Hardy is the author of The Science of Scaling, 10x Is Easier Than 2x, and several other influential books.

On the call, he shared insights that are valuable for anyone who has a goal they are working toward. One of the key takeaways was that most people set goals that are either too small or they have too long of a timeline for loftier goals. Instead, he encourages setting bold, ambitious goals that require you to cut through the noise and focus only on the highest-impact actions.

When the goal is big, the path is different. You stop defaulting to slow, linear progress and start thinking more strategically and acting more intentionally.

Dr. Hardy challenged us to stop thinking toward our goals and start thinking from them. Imagine your goal is already accomplished. What did you do to get there? What did you remove? What changed?

So, what are your goals for the next year? Five years? Ten?

Now ask yourself: what if you could achieve your 10-year goals in two years? What would you need to do differently today?

If those goals include real estate, we’d love to help you map out a plan. Whether you're looking to build passive income, purchase your first home, or tackle a renovation project, we're here to support your growth and help make those goals a reality.
