Welcome back to Beyond the Tour where twice a month you'll receive practical tips and resources to help you get better at what you do.

Let's get started.

If You Do One Thing This Week:
1. 🗓️ Put upcoming events in your email signature

Make it easy for families to RSVP to your events.

If they’re already reading an email from you, you’ve won the hardest battle: you have their attention. Now capitalize on it.

Use that precious email space wisely: a clean button, a short description, and a simple next step. No scrolling, no digging, no guessing.

You can thank me later.

2 Tips to DO MORE:

2. 🍍Speaking of calendars…

Your school calendar is a piece of your customer service. Parents are going there often times in a 5 Alarm Crisis of “WHEN WAS THE FIELD TRIP AGAIN?!"

Having an easy to navigate calendar is a family retention tool.

Look at your calendar through the eyes of a prospective family or current family who is not living and breathing your school every day the way that you are.

How can you make things more user-friendly for them?

Bonus points: Ask a parent with a discerning eye to look at your calendar and give you feedback. It's helpful to have someone who is less immersed in the weeds the way that you are.  You want Average Joe and Josephine to have an easy, positive interaction with your calendar.

3. 💌 Show some love.

Call 5 current VIP families to check in on how they're doing.
Ask them what would be most meaningful to families not yet a part of the school. It shows them that you love them, you value their input, and you're investing in the relationship.

That sounds like a win-win.
