About Us
The Emerald Coast Victim Services, Inc is a 501 (c) (3) that was founded by a Nurse Practitioner who is a trained sexual assault nurse examiner.
The Emerald Coast Victim Services is a sexual assault program that launched in 2022. Here, survivors can obtain free exams that document their stories, preserve legal evidence and obtain medication.
*Discalimer - You might see us use the term "survivor & victim" interchangeably. The word victim is used commonly by law enforcement and in legal proceedings, however, we find the term "survivor" helps focus on the healing and strength of the individual. Some persons who have experienced sexual violence do not idenfity with either term and it is best to be sensitive to each indiviudual's feelings about how she/he/they refers to themselves and what they have experienced.

The goal of the sexual assault program is to provide a safe non-judgmental place where survivors can connect to trained trauma informed professionals, create partnerships, community awareness education, health promotion and disease prevention.

The purpose is to collect evidence to prosecute sexual offenders to obtain justice for survivors and improve patient outcomes.

Our Mission
To reduce the health effects of violence and trauma through compassionate care, forensic nursing, education, and community empowerment.
Our Vision
A community where survivors are believed, supported, and empowered to heal—where every person has access to compassionate care and a pathway to restoration.
