What color do you picture when you think about your next getaway?
One shade keeps popping up for me lately.
I think in color nearly all of the time. The designer in me makes certain shades instantly pull specific hotels or places to the front of my mind. To let you into my curating brain for a minute, that’s often how I mentally organize them…by the color and mood they evoke. And recently, that color has been pink. Not candy, not neon. More of a dusty, sun-washed blush.
So it's a perfect moment to bring Pantone Places back. Last time we talked about Pantone’s 2025 color of the year, Mocha Mousse. This round I’m going rogue with my own pick: Blossom, Pantone 489 — a soft, sandy, rosy pink. Warm, feminine, a little fun, and full of nostalgia.
Think: rose facades, pink sand, sunsets, gorgeous textiles, and designers who know how to work this palette without going barbiecore or gumball. A true talent, indeed.
