As the holidays approach, there’s no better way to celebrate life’s sparkling moments than with a glass of Champagne. At Capital Prime, we invite you to raise a toast and savor some of the world’s most exceptional bubbles — from legendary Champagne houses to contemporary favorites.

 

Champagne’s story begins in the cool cellars of France’s Champagne region, where winemakers in the 17th century discovered that a “second fermentation” created delightful effervescence. Though Dom Pierre Pérignon, a Benedictine monk, didn’t invent Champagne, his pioneering techniques perfected it — leading to the elegant sparkling wine we enjoy today.

 

Despite what many people thing, all sparkling wines are not Champagne. In order to be categorized as a true Champagne the grapes must be grown in the Champagne region of France. Vinter Dom Perigonon, (accent) upon tasting his creation he said “Come quickly! I am tasting the stars!”

 

Over time, Champagne became synonymous with celebration, from royal courts to New Year’s Eve parties. The tradition of toasting with Champagne began as a symbol of joy and unity — bubbles rising like hopes for the future. Here are some of our favorites…

Chloe has been with Capital Prime almost 3 years, taking care of our guests at the host stand. She is always ready with both a warm smile and a lovely table for every guest that walks through our doors. Chloe’s ability to work her magic on a busy evening, making sure all our guests have a wonderful experience, is what makes her such an important part of our staff. 

 

When asked about her favorite part of working at Capital Prime, she says “my co-workers, and being able to enjoy time with them.” Staying calm in stressful situations is one of her most valuable assets she brings to the team. From a busy graduation weekend to bustling Mother's Day and throughout all of the joyous festivities of December, Chloe keeps things moving at a smooth pace, always with kindness enthusiasm. 

 

An interesting fact that might surprise you about Chloe is that she was only 4 pounds 5 ounces when born… that tiny fragile little one has become a force at the host stand!

 

Chloe says she is passionate about “pushing myself out of my comfort zone” and is proud of herself for getting her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, from Michigan State University.

 

As for keeping it “all in the family”, Chloe says she want’s everyone to know what a “cool aunt” she has. Chloe’s aunt is none other than our own General Manager, Heather Hulett. We love to share that we are like one big family here at Capital Prime, and this takes the family vibes to another level.
