EOY PARTY + new editor + FUture reading + ANTHOLOGY + book division + more
WINTER NEWS
It’s been roughly a year since Pool Party went from being just a germ of an idea to becoming its own beating, breathing ecosystem, and it’s become such a potent and important part of our lives.

Kevin and I love hosting readings, publishing new work, and spending time planning new ways to increase visibility of and readership for the writers we admire and enjoy.

We are very grateful to everybody who has attended or participated in our readings, submitted work, or shared about Pool Party with friends, and we hope to see you at one of our many upcoming events!

P.S. We want to share your good news! Email us if you/your friends have book launches to celebrate and we’ll include links in our newsletters—newsletters which we plan to send out every 2-4 weeks.

Pool party anthology
In anticipation for embarking on the print division of Pool Party, we decided to produce an anthology featuring some of the amazing work we’ve published in the journal during its first year.

We will have copies with us during AWP, so be sure to catch up with us to get one of your own!

Kevin has navigated the book publishing industry many times as an author, first as a writer pitching to presses himself, and now as an agented author. He has three books out in the world and has experienced multiple different publishing approaches. He understands what is required to produce a successful book launch, tour, and knows the ins-and-outs of working with book stores and distributors to get the most sales out of a launch.
Ryan-Ashley’s background as a creative director involved graphic design (and managing teams of designers), copywriting, publication layout, campaign strategy, and public relations. Her project management and production skills as well as experience navigating the PR landscape makes her a great person to have on your publishing team. Plus, she has a background in artist management and understands the nuances of working one-on-one with someone to bring their work to life and to the world.
